Grant and Loan Programs
Emergency Home Repair GrantsGrants are administered as funds are available for Summit and Stark Counties by NCS of Barberton, Inc., from the Ohio Housing Trust Fund provided by the State of Ohio Department of Community Development.
Lead Hazard Reduction Demonstration Grants
NCS has partnered with the City of Akron and HUD to provide 7,500.00 in stimulus grand funds to reduce childhood lead poisoning in homes built before 1978. To see if you qualify and review the guidelines, please click here for the application.
Barberton Community Foundation Loans
Mortgage loans are available City wide that are funded through the Barberton Community Foundation. These loans provide financing for code, compliance and general repairs. These loans are for owner occupied homes whose household income does exceed 130% of the median income. Call for the current interest rate.
